Have you ever wanted to capture the audio from your radio or scanner so that you could play it back later? Download XCorder. Plug a line into your headphone jack on your ham rig, and then run it into your "Line In" port of your computer's sound card. You can set the audio level of which XCorder starts to record the rig's audio. You can also set the date and time XCorder starts recording as well. XCorder is a freeware voice activated (VOX) recorder designed to work with communication receivers or 'scanners'. Xcorder works by listening to the audio output of your radio and records to file when modulation is detected in the signal, this can save a lot of hard disk space as well as time! The program works best when recording VHF / UHF FM radio transmissions as this mode has very good squelch characteristics which enables easier record triggering within Xcorder. The author intends to keep Xcorder freeware to support the radio enthusiast and Amateur radio communities.
