How to repair, fix ASF file ?

How to repair, fix ASF file ? Hi, I've got ASF file that has been corrupted. The first 10 minutes are ok, then it suddenly stops and thinks its played the whole thing! The video will not jump to differnt places, so I cannot simply move it beyond the corrupt part and continue to play. I have tried to use windows movie maker to chop off the first 6 mins but it simply hangs and will not scan past the bad 10min point. Do you know any programs that are capable of fixing ASF files to this sort of degree? All that I have tried cannot cope with the corrupted section for one reason or another. Thank you.

You can fix ASF files using freeware ASFBin program. Download the ASFBin tool from here: asfbin1.5.0.535.zip

Step 1. Create an empty ASFBin folder. Unzip downloaded asfbin1.5.0.535.zip file to this folder and launch asfbinapp.exe.

Step 2. Select the folder where your ASF file is located. Click the button (on the right side of the program), as shown below:

Step 3. Select your ASF file and click the "Left Arrow" button (copy it to the left window to set your file as input file).

Step 4. Choose destination file and path (in our example it's out.asf). Click the button as shown below:

Step 5. Finally, click Cut / Copy / Join button.

It will create a new working ASF. Done!
