Download and install AVS Video Tools.

Run AVS Video Converter (from AVS Video Tools) and select your input video file.

To select a video you would like to convert hit the Browse... button next to Input File Name Field. In the opened Windows Explorer Window browse for the necessary video file:

Use the Open button to load the video into AVS Video Converter.

Set up the conversion parameters.

After you have selected the video input file, press To AVI button on the main panel to convert your video file into MPEG4 compatible format. In the list of Profiles select one of the offered profiles. You can also edit the selected profile using the Edit Profile... button:

Note, that you should check if your DVD player supports playback of MPEG4 files and read the player documentation to find out what codecs (DivX or XviD) playback it supports.

Set up a proper path for your output video file.

Click the Browse... button next to Output File Name field and select a location on your HDD for the output video file:

NOTE! When you select a location for your output video file, you should save the file to your personal computer HDD.

Convert your video files.

After you have set up all the conversion parameters, hit the Convert Now! button to start converting.

The result of the conversion should be a MPEG4 compatible video file with .avi extension that can be recorded onto a disc with the help of the AVS Video Converter internal burning engine.

Burn your resulting video onto a disc.

Insert a blank CD into your computer optical disc drive. Make sure that the disc is compatible with your drive.

Locate your resulting video on your computer hard disk drive. Remember that its location has been selected at Step 4. Use the RIGHT mouse button and select Send To - AVS Video Burner to start the burning application:

The AVS Video Burner application will be launched to guide you through the burning process so that you could record your converted video onto a disc with no difficulty.

You can select the necessary disc drive if you have several, refresh it and mark the Finalize disc and Verify disc check-boxes to close the disc (if you do not plan to record something else on it) and make sure the disc is recorded correctly:

After that click the Start burning! button to begin the recording.

Note, that if the disc is not empty you will be offered to erase it. If you do not want to do that, you can eject the disc and use another one instead.

After the burning is over the disc will be ejected automatically. Note, if you checked the Verify disc the recording will take a little longer depending on the output files size as the program will need time to verify the recorded files.

Now you can watch your recorded MPEG4 compatible video on your Home DVD Player or a personal computer!
