First, it's necessary to start the AVS Video Converter and open our input file. After that click the Edit button to open Edit Input File(s) window. |

We would recommend you to use Auto Contrast video effect. The Auto Contrast command adjusts the overall contrast and mixture of colors in an RGB image automatically. When identifying the lightest and darkest pixels in an image, Auto Contrast clips the white and black pixels by 0.5%-that is, it ignores the first 0.5% of either extreme. This ensures that white and black values are based on representative rather than extreme pixel values. Basically, it makes the dark colors in video darker, and the light ones lighter.
Just one easy operation to improve our video: at the effects toolbar click the Add button. Then select Adjust -> Auto Contrast
As you can notice, the picture immediately gets much more visible and brighter right after applying Auto Contrast video effect. As compared to our original video, the resulting picture looks much better.
